Cozy Chunky Cable Knit Hat!

Are you in search of a quick knitted Christmas gift for someone special, or just want a new hat for yourself? The free knitting pattern for this hat works up very quickly and requires just two balls of the chunky yarn mentioned below!

This is an intermediate knitting pattern which features a classic cable design worked on double-pointed needles to create its classic look. The designer has classified this pattern into the intermediate category because of the rather large number of techniques required (see abbreviations below)

It is suggested that two balls of the super bulky Bernat Softee Chunky yarn be used in this project, as this yarn works up quickly and offers excellent stitch definition.

If you want to make the look even more fun, add a pompom to the top! Instructions for making a pompom are included within this pattern.

This pattern is knitted in the round, with the starting 60 stitches divided among 3 needles.
