Here is a free knitting pattern for this very cool spider web pillow!
The finished pillow measures approximately 11.5 inches in diameter.
Although gauge is not quite as important as it would be for a knitted sweater or many other types of knitting projects, you should try to get as close to gauge as possible to allow the spider web to come out proportional.
A great addition to this pillow would be to add some type of fake “spider” or spiders to the web for an added Halloween decor!
Because there is so much “space” in between the webs, this pattern truly works up pretty quickly!
The type of yarn recommended for this knitting project is 100% Peruvian Merino Wool. Either black or gray would work great, depending on your other home decor. This type of yarn is recommended over more “slippery” yarns such as those containing silk, bamboo, or too much alpaca, as these types of slippery yarn will prevent the finished spider web from holding a good circular shape.
You will also need US Size 9 (5.5 mm) double-pointed needles, a US Size 9 (5.5 mm) circular knitting needle, cotton cording to whipstitch the seam around the pillow, stitch markers, and 1/2 yard of fabric lining in your choice of color.
