Here is a free Halloween knitting pattern that works up into an adorable project that won’t soon be forgotten!
This knitting pattern comes complete with instructions for knitting the pumpkin itself, as well as the cute witch hat that sits atop the pumpkin.
For this project, you will need 3-mm double-pointed needles (Size 2.5 in US), a 2-mm crochet hook (US Size C / 2), and orange in your choice of colors.
The colors recommended by the pattern include orange, black, brown, and violet.
For this project, you should be able to do the following:
K – knit
K2tog – knit two stitches together (decrease)
P – purl
Dpns – double pointed needles
Sc – single crochet
Ch – chain
Inc – increase
The pumpkin has a total of 29 rows and the hat has a total of 24 rounds.
There is also an optional stem you can knit, although this isn’t totally necessary, as the hat will stand atop the pumpkin without the stem.
